今回はアメリカから来られたジョンさんに西土佐地区の観光を楽しんでいただきました。
以下はジョンさんが体験した感想です。

自然の素晴らしさを見て体験したいなら、高知市から四万十市への旅行はぴったりな一つの方法だ。
If one would like to see and experience the wonders of nature, a trip from Kochi City to Shimanto City is one way to fit this bill.
森林に覆われた緑豊かな山々や、曲がりくねった清流が流れる高知県でも有数の景勝地を、1時間半から2時間かけてドライブする。大自然の中の素晴らしい旅だ。
It is about a 1½-hour to 2-hour drive through one of the most scenic areas in Kochi prefecture with lush, forested mountains and winding clear watered rivers.
This is a wonderful journey through nature.
四万十市の旅でそれぞれに特長ある美食を堪能できる2軒のレストランを訪れた。
During my sightseeing Journey to Shimanto city I had the opportunity to visit two restaurants which had very delicious but different cuisines.
人によって好みは様々あるだろうが、福喰(ふくろう)はとても興味深く、結果、満足のいく選択となるだろう。
Depending on your sense of adventure a great and very interesting choice is the Fukurou restaurant.
そして私はそこを訪れ、カニ(ツガニ)カレーを食べた。
野菜も豊富に入ったちょっとスパイシーなカレーで、地元産のお米と一緒に食べたのだが、とても美味しかった！
During my visit there I was able to have a crab curry dish.
This dish was a unique, somewhat spicy, vegetable and crab curry dish served with the local grown rice.
Very delicious!
また鹿肉を使った料理(鹿肉ジビエのボロネーゼ)もとても美味しかった。これもすばらしいチョイスとなった。
I also sampled a very tasty dish served with venison. This is a great choice as well.
レストランのオーナーでありチーフの村田さんは、英語は流暢ではなかったが、温かみのある魅力的な人物だった。彼はこの地域に根差した情報を教えてくれ、一緒にいて楽しかった。
Murata-san, the restaurant owner and chief, although not fluent in English, was warm and inviting. He provided a very local experience and was a delight to be with.
